London Riots Project.

As our first task we are going to be making a small documentary, which should be about 2 - 4 mins long about the riots that happened in London during the summer 2011.

Primary Research
Research collected by you.
Source: A primary source is an original document containing firsthand information about a topic.
Examples: Diaries, letters, interviews, photographs etc

Secondary Research
This research is data that someone has collected.
Sources: A secondary source interprets and analyses primary sources. Secondary sources are one step removed from the event. The most important feature of secondary sources is that they offer an interpretation of the information.
Examples: Internet, books, journal articles and newspapers.

List of areas that I'm gonna research.
Primary research :- Interview few of my friends and family and find out their point of view on riots, Ask some random people on street, from all different group ages for their views, Facebook. Try get someone who took part in the riots and ask the some question, such as why did they do it?, Did they feel guilty? etc.
Secondary research :- To find some footage of the riots I'm using secondary sources for example get some footage from BBC News, Sky News, Youtube. Also read some information on internet and find out other people point of view on the riots.

Homework:- To watch a documentary and blog about it. For example - What was the documentary about, What is the documentary called and what is the main thing that you find in every or most documentaries, for example - voice over, narrater.

The documentary I watched was called "The world most dangerous roads"

The documentary was about a one of dangerous road that two friends travel togeather to find out the history and how and why the word was made.

The main thing I found in the documentary was that most of them have a voice over narrating what's going on and giving some fact about the place/event.
